Yoga Class by Kristi Dunbar

This all-levels yoga class at Bonham Barbell Club is designed to support flexibility, balance, and mobility in a welcoming, stress-free environment. Class focus will vary weekly and may include strength, flow, flexibility, and balance, giving students a well-rounded practice that complements both training and everyday life. Whether you are a complete beginner, have a little more experience on the mat, or find yourself somewhere in between, modifications are offered to help you move at your own pace and get the most out of each class.

This 45 minute class is designed to strengthen the core; including muscles of the hips, and around the torso - including abs, obliques, and spinal erectors. Set to music, movement patterns will be functional, enabling participants to walk, twist, and lift with greater ease and less risk of injury. We will work bodyweight against gravity, resistance bands, and weights. Types of movement include spinal stabilization, rotation, lateral flexion, and extension.  The focus will be on proper form rather than speed or excessive load. Benefits include: better posture,  improved ease of movement, and increased confidence.

Kristi Dunbar began practicing yoga in 2016 and soon felt called to share this important tool for building physical and mental flexibility, balance, and stress relief with others.

Kristi teaches classes that are warm, approachable, and accessible to a wide variety of students, from total beginners to those with a regular fitness routine. Each week’s class may focus on strength, balance, flow, or flexibility, offering a well-rounded practice that supports both challenge and recovery. Kristi encourages students to meet themselves where they are, use modifications when needed, and enjoy the process of building confidence, mobility, and resilience through movement.

Renee Stoneman is a certified professional trainer with over 25 years of combined experience studying, practicing, and helping others build strength, confidence, and lasting fitness. Drawing from her own journey of overcoming years of illness and weakness, she brings both expertise and empathy to every fitness session.
