Yes, Bonham Barbell Club offers a discounted membership rate for first responders, military personnel, and teachers, youth, and seniors. These memberships must be signed up for in person at the gym, with valid ID. Please come to the gym during staffed hours. Or you can sign up on our membership page for the full price, and when you have time to bring in your ID we can change your billing amount for the following month to the discounted rate.

Yes! We offer personal training sessions at an additional cost. You must be a member of the gym in order to utilize the personal trainers. Please see the Personal Training page for more info.

Yes! Bonham Barbell Club hosts Jiu Jitsu classes by Vice Versa Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with Michael Kube. Please see our Jiu Jitsu page for more information.

Memberships at Bonham Barbell Club are on a month to month basis. You can cancel at any time with 30 days notice. We also offer a 1 Day Pass and a 5 Day Pass if you are just in town temporarily and want to work out! See the membership page to buy a short term membership.

Yes, we have a discounted membership for seniors and also for youth ages 16-18 years old. Yes, please come to the gym during staffed hours to sign up for these discounted memberships.

After you fill out the membership forms and waivers online, you will receive an automated welcome email that says “Welcome to Bonham Barbell Club” (This may take 10 minutes to arrive) This email will have a personalized QR code that must be scanned at the door in order for the door to unlock. Screenshot this QR code and save it in your phone so you have access every time you come to the gym. We should have a stand alone app ready soon that will also have your QR for door access.

Please fill out this form or see the gym staff to sign up for a membership. (Bring your membership ID card or ID number for your respective program to sign up with Bonham Barbell Club as your home gym.)

The gym was originally started as Fat Chance Fitness in 2022 by Chance Peeler. In November 2025, the gym was sold to Ben Laird and was rebranded to Bonham Barbell Club. The gym was remodeled and lots of new gym equipment was added. We are still the same local hometown gym you have always loved, but with new improvements.
